The Panamanian government announced the ratification of three cooperation agreements on August 10.
Among the agreements ratified was a convention for the avoidance of double taxation and fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income with Barbados, signed in Bridgetown on June 21, 2010.
The text will assign the taxing rights of the respective countries, ensuring that entities are not taxed twice when undertaking trade or investment between the two jurisdictions.
The two other agreements concluded were with Honduras for cultural and educational cooperation, and with Korea for scientific and cultural cooperation.
