Ogier revealed last week that it was named 'Offshore Law Firm of the Year' at Thursday's Chambers Global Awards 2006.
President of the International Bar Association, Francis Neate presented the award, which was collected by chairman of the Ogier Group, Jonathan White.
Nominations for the awards were shortlisted from the research undertaken for the Chambers Guides, in which Ogier featured prominently.
Mr White observed that:
"The Chambers Global Awards are held in high regard in the legal world so to win Offshore Law Firm of the Year is a huge honour. It reflects what has been 12 months of significant growth for Ogier, both in terms of our jurisdictional reach and the level of work undertaken."
Also shortlisted for Offshore Law Firm of the Year were Appleby Hunter Bailhache, Dickinson Cruickshank, Maples & Calder, Mourant de Feu & Jeune and Walkers.
