This week in Las Vegas, eminent tax-planner authors Vern Jacobs and Richard Duke will be holding their Offshore Tax Boot Camp Seminar at Caesar's Palace.
Sub-titled 'An introduction to the tax aspects of going offshore', the seminar has attracted many favourable comments in the past. One delegate to last year's Vegas course said: "I've been to 20 years of continuing legal education courses. I'd rank this course among the top 5% for both content and presentation."
Whatever your reason for "going offshore", say the organisers, there are serious tax implications for U.S. citizens and residents who "go offshore". The Offshore Tax Boot Camp is a two-day, 16 hour, intensive seminar for investors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, accountants and financial advisors who want an introduction to the confusing and controversial subject of offshore taxation. This program is for the non specialist who has little or no prior background in any aspect of international tax law. It's a program for beginners.
The two day program is designed to provide ample time for inter-action between the instructors and the students. There will also be an hour at the end of each day for questions and answers.
The seminar registration fee is $675. Copies of the 575 plus page seminar manual
are available for $225 each, but are provided free to seminar students.
Richard Duke and Vernon Jacobs are the seminar instructors and authors of the 575 page seminar manual. Duke is a practicing international tax lawyer and an Adjunct Professor of International Tax Law for the St. Thomas University Graduate School of International Tax Law . Vernon Jacobs is a CPA with a focus on international tax services. He has been a college level instructor for over four years and has taught dozens of seminar courses.
Both instructors are Editorial Advisors for Global Asset Protection . Duke and Jacobs are co-authors of Offshore Tax Strategies.
