German telecoms firm, Teles announced last week that it is suing mobile phone firm, Nokia for patent infringement.
According to Teles, the "GSM fallback" functionality of Nokia's 6136 model infringes patents that it has held since 1996.
The German firm additionally announced that it intends in the near future to launch further patent infringement cases "against internationally well-known providers of VoIP products with "lineswitching fallback" functionality for fixed and/or mobile networks", both in Europe and the United States.
It concluded by revealing that it has engaged the services of Howrey LLP, Foley & Lardner LLP and Novak Druce & Quigg LLP to pursue its US actions.
