The agreement for the exchange of information with respect to taxes between the Netherlands Antilles and the government of New Zealand has recently come into force.
The agreement was negotiated between the fiscal authorities of the Netherlands Antilles, the government of the Netherlands and the government of New Zealand at the request of the latter, and was signed in Canberra on March 1, 2007. It has been in force since October 2, 2008. The OECD's Model Agreement on the Exchange of Information on Tax Matters was used as the basis for the agreement.
The Netherlands has also concluded similar agreements on behalf of the Netherlands Antilles with the United States (signed in Washington on April 17, 2002) and Australia (signed in Canberra on March 1, 2007).
