A government-appointed Tax Review panel is likely to release its final recommendations on changes to the New Zealand government's taxation policies to ministers this Thursday and to the general public on October 24.
Over the past three months the public and key stakeholders have had the opportunity to submit their suggestions following a precursor report earlier in June this year. The panel is made up of five top tax experts and although government-appointed, it is independent and the government may choose to act on some, all or none of the committee's findings.
