New Site Launched To Help Expats

Investors Offshore, London

23 October 2002

Expatriate Assignment Solutions (EAS) is launching a website, www.expatsolve.com, in response to the increasing demand for information on the tax and administrative issues surrounding working abroad.

Expatriate Assignment Solutions brings together experienced professionals within the framework of Moores Rowland International to provide assistance
with tax and associated services when moving employees abroad. With over 600 offices in 92 countries, Moores Rowland ranks as the 10th largest international accounting and consulting group in the world.

The expatsolve.com website provides information on the many services available to guide both companies and individuals through the maze of issues surrounding overseas employment, including work permits, taxation, social security, payroll and remuneration. The website will also provide news items and articles of interest to employers and their employees.

Despite the continuing economic downturn, expatriates remain a fact of life. For example, the UK continues to be the largest recipient of inward investment to the European Union and Work Permits UK, the government office responsible for issuing work permits, has forecast that applications will rise by 30% over the next 12 months.

Andrew Bailey, Managing Director of Expatriate Services at WJB Chiltern, the UK representative of EAS, which has played a leading role in developing the site,
says:

"It is essential that people being sent to work abroad seek expert advice that is tailored to their individual requirements. The EAS service is personalised and also value for money which we think makes us different from the larger global accountancy firms. We have the same level of expertise but in addition are dedicated to individual, cost effective care."

EAS points out that the increasing issue of accountability in the wake of Enron means companies are being recommended not to use the same professional adviser for all their audit, accountancy and taxation requirements. Advice provided by EAS is carefully tailored, whether it is to companies sending whole teams abroad or
even direct to an individual travelling abroad on their own to work.

Andrew Bailey adds: "There is indication that companies are increasingly looking for an alternative, independent service provider. Expatriate Assignment Solutions is that alternative."
