It emerged this week that a new online directory and web resource has been launched to introduce greater numbers of investors and intermediaries to the financial and related services available in the Channel Islands.
The Offshoreresearch.com project, thought to be the first to present Jersey and Guernsey as partners in the provision of offshore services, was developed by advertising agency, The Partnership and web design firm, Byte Art.
In addition to providing information on the services available, structured by jurisdiction and sector, and covering the accounting, legal, banking, insurance, investment and trust industries, the website will carry updates on new developments, legislative changes and company news.
Speaking following the launch of the site, Talmai Morgan, Chief Executive of Guernsey Finance announced that:
"Guernsey Finance welcomes this enterprising initiative. We know that there is a great deal of interest in the sophisticated products and services provided by financial institutions in the Channel Islands, particularly from professionals and other financial advisors. We also recognise that that there is a degree of misreporting in certain sections of the media and any move to properly represent Guernsey's financial services industry is a positive one."
