Chancellor Publications this week announced the launch of its new guide to the offshore funds industry, The Chancellor Offshore Funds Manual.
'The offshore fund industry today bears an interesting resemblance to the Internet,' the publishing firm observed, continuing:
'It is large and incapable of precise qualification; it has a geographic reach which is almost universal and for many outsiders is beyond their comprehension as to how it operates! Yet in the past few years, paralleling the growth of the internet, offshore funds have become a critical medium for channelling cross-border investment into both industrialized and emerging economies.'
Covering a number of key areas, including fund structures, compensation agreements, performance measurement, tax, information technology, and offshore domiciles, the Offshore Funds Manual is, according to Chancellor, designed to provide professional advisors, fund sponsors, and investors with the tools to understand the market, the rules that apply, and the administrative and accounting challenges involved.
A comprehensive report describing the investment fund sector in most key offshore jurisdictions, with details of the regulatory structure, is available in the Tax News Reports Shop at http://www.tax-news.com/reportshop
