It was announced recently that Andrew Williams has been appointed Managing Director of National Boat Shows, and will assume the position immediately after this year's Southampton Boat Show in September.
National Boat Shows is a subsidiary of the British Marine Federation (BMF), the trade association for the UK boating industry.
According to the BMF, Mr Williams has significant experience across the leisure and commercial sector, and comes fresh from Metro Goldwyn Mayer Home Entertainment Group where he was Vice President. He has also held senior managerial positions at Nintendo UK, The Walt Disney Company and Black & Decker.
Commenting on his appointment, Andrew Williams said:
"I'm delighted to be joining the National Boat Shows team as Managing Director at such an exciting time. My first project will be to oversee the new-look London Boat Show in January, as well as working closely with the marine sector, specialist media and consumers to further develop future shows."
He will take up the reins from interim Managing Director Chris Dalley on the 25 September, but will be working alongside the National Boat Show team at Southampton in advance of his official start date.
