It has been announced this week that Andrew Leck has taken up his new appointment as head of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Scotland.
He joins the ACCA after working for the commercial arm of CIPFA for nine years. The majority of this time was as a senior manager with CIPFA’s advisory networks, providing advice and support on financial and performance management to public sector organisations.
Previously, Mr Leck worked in local government, both in finance and corporate policy, for six years.
He stated this week that:
“I am delighted to be joining ACCA at a time when the membership and reputation is growing in Scotland. I look forward to engaging with the Scottish members and students to enhance the services we provide for them and ensure their needs and expectations are reflected in our strategies. It is my role to build on the existing reputation and influence the ACCA has in Scotland with members of the wider Scottish economy.”
Welcoming the appointment, Wyn Mears, ACCA’s UK director added:
“We are fortunate in being able to attract a professional of such calibre and experience to our head our Scottish office. I am confident that Andrew will continue to build our reputation in Scotland and develop existing new relationships and partnerships on behalf of ACCA.”
