President of Malta, Dr. Eddie Fenech Adami was on Thursday presented with Letters of Credence by Caroline Gudenus, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria.
The ceremony took place in the Ambassadors’ Room at The Palace, Valletta.
Dr Gudenus' diplomatic career began in September 1986 when she entered the Austrian Diplomatic Service. In the same year she started working with the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Since November 2003, she has been working at the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs and in February 2005 she became the Head of Sub-Saharan Africa Unit.
On Thursday afternoon, the President and his wife hosted the newly accredited Ambassador at an official luncheon.
