On 1st November 2004, the Nevis financial services sector saw the enforcement of the Nevis International Insurance Ordinance, a new piece of legislation which was enacted on April 7th 2004.

Two other pieces of legislation enacted in November were the Nevis Multiform Foundations Ordinance and the Nevis Mutual Funds Ordinance, on November 16th, 2004.

The Multiform Ordinance allows among other features for the transformation of a trust into a foundation and for consolidation of entities.
