National Bank of Dubai has boosted its Internet banking services with the introduction of new and enhanced customer facilities.
Launched in June 1998, National Bank Online's key customer service enhancements include a personalisation function, application for foreign currency and traveller's cheques, application for guarantees, and a multiple authorisation function.
Non-account holding NBD credit card holders can now sign up and view card statements and transactions not yet statemented; commercial customers will be able to check their corporate cards.
Personalisation allows customers to change their personal details online, as well as letting customers personalise their bank account(s) names to associate with them with their use, eg School Fees Account.
Additional security features are provided for commercial customers. These include single or dual authorisation and restricted access to the various functions or financial values of specific users. Commercial customers can also use the Multiple Authorisation service which enables them to select transactions yet to be authorised from the Authorisation queue and authorise them in batches. This avoids the need for selecting each transaction for individual authorisation.
Other facilities available through National Bank Online include account information, credit card information, fund transfers (same currency and inter-currency), standing instructions, outward remittances, mandate set up, applications for l/c, utility bill payments and cheque book request.
