Channel Islands-based law firm, Mourant Ozannes has been named 'Offshore Law Firm of the Year' at the Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence 2011.
The winners, which were announced at a ceremony held in Amsterdam recently, were recognized for their performance over the past year based on research carried out for Chambers Europe, one of the most respected international guides to the legal profession.
The award takes into consideration expertise in different practice areas, notable achievements over the past 12 months, evidence of impressive strategic growth and a commitment to client service excellence. In the latest Chambers Europe Guide, published earlier this year, Mourant Ozannes is described as an 'offshore powerhouse'.
Jonathan Rigby, Managing Partner of Mourant Ozannes, said that: "We are delighted to receive this recognition, which takes into account feedback from clients and peers and robust research by one of the industry's leading directories. This is further evidence of our leading position in the offshore marketplace just over a year since we announced the merger to create Mourant Ozannes. It follows significant recognition from all the major legal directories over the past year, which sees Mourant Ozannes with more top tier legal directory rankings than any other offshore law firm."
Prior to the merger of Mourant and Ozannes, Ozannes was named Offshore Law Firm of the Year in the Chambers Europe Awards of Excellence 2009.
