Euromoney has named Mourant best specialist provider in two categories of its Annual Global Private Banking Survey, a poll in which over 20,000 award nominations were made by peers in the industry.

Mourant, a specialist professional services group serving top international corporations and high net worth individuals, has been named best specialist provider of trust services and philanthropy services in Jersey. It was also nominated for the best specialist provider of trust services in the UK.

The awards are the result of a Euromoney survey to provide a qualitative and quantitative review of the best services in private banking - defined as banking services targeted to wealthy clients. It is also a guide for high-net-worth individuals to the range of service providers available.

The survey, a 'peer's poll', entailed private banks being asked to identify the companies that they admire as the top providers of both competitive and non-competitive services.

"Mourant has a long history of serving high net worth clients and it is very pleasing to see this being recognised, for the second year in succession, through these prestigious awards," commented Mourant Chief Executive Nicola Davies.

"Our trust services combine genuine independence with the expertise of a leading global business, and we are delighted with these awards. We are also pleased that our philanthropic services have been recognised," added Mourant Private Wealth’s Chief Executive Anthony Cooke-Yarborough.

The group comprises 800 people in four business lines: Mourant du Feu & Jeune, a leading offshore law firm operating from offices in Jersey, London and the Cayman Islands and with a Guernsey practice opening in January 2006; Mourant International Finance Administration, an international provider of fund and corporate administration services, with assets of over $250 billion under its administration; Mourant Equity Compensation Solutions, a world leader in employee share plan administration, with over 800 stock plans and other equity compensation structures for 500 clients worldwide; and Mourant Private Wealth.
