Bermudan Minister Renee Webb told a London conference last week that Bermuda is the ideal location for European e-business start-ups. In her two speaking engagements at the conference on e-commerce and financial services, Ms Webb, who is Bermuda's e-commerce minister, emphasised that Bermuda is a 'one stop shop' for e-business because of its advanced legal and telecommunications infrastructure and her Government's committment to facilitating global e-commerce on the island. The Minister said that more than 60 new e-commerce and high technology companies had incorporated in Bermuda in just the first nine months of 1999.
