Reports on Thursday suggested that Latin American equities were inching higher again, following a drop earlier in the week on US economic woes.
According to Dow Jones Newswires, Mexico's benchmark IPC index rose 0.6% on Thursday, following a 2.8% fall the previous day.
The peso and bonds also gained on Thursday, Reuters revealed, with the former ending at 10.8770 per dollar.
Corona brewer Modela and Wal-Mart de Mexico were among the best performers on Thursday, the report concluded.
