31 May 2006

Last week Matheson Ormsby Prentice was named Irish Tax Firm of the Year by the International Tax Review.

The firm was chosen as the leading tax advisor from a pool comprising both Irish law and accounting firms. Liam Quirke, Managing Partner, accepted the award at the annual International Tax Review European Awards ceremony on Wednesday.

Matheson Ormsby Prentice has the largest tax practice of any Irish law firm, boasting a diverse team of tax solicitors, tax accountants and tax barristers, and is the only Irish law firm that has a tax presence in the US. The firm offers a comprehensive range of legal services to both domestic and global clients, including many of the multinationals doing business in Ireland.

Liam Quirke, Managing Partner and head of Matheson Ormsby Prentice's Tax Department, commented: "The success of MOP's tax practice has been built on the execution of a clear market-led strategy, a commitment to excellence and the calibre of our people."
