Tax collections in Argentina for the month of March have soared by 23% to reach a total of ARS21.8bn (USD5.9bn).
The country's Federal Tax Agency attributes much of the rise to a 62% increase in pension contributions, along with a 16% rise in VAT revenues.
Late last year, Argentina's President, Cristina Fernandez's instigated legislation which saw ARS88bn (USD24bn) of private pensions nationalized in a bid to increase tax revenues.
In February, the Tax Agency's Director, Ricardo Echegaray, predicted that tax revenues for the following month were due to rise - despite revenue from excise taxes declining by almost 2% on last year's figure.
Although tax revenues are on the up, economists are still forecasting a tough year for Argentina.
