Internet gambling companies interested in operating from Malta
While speaking at the inauguration of the first edition of the European Gaming Forum, Finance Minister John Dalli said that in recent months, a number of companies specializing in gambling over the Internet applied for a licence to start operating from Malta.
The Minister added that Government will only give licences to companies which are already licenced in other countries. Besides, the licences given in Malta will be for games based on sports activities. Malta will not be issuing any licences for the operation of cyber casinos.
