It was announced on Thursday that Malta's Chief Justice, Vincent De Gaetano was in Bermuda to attend the Fourth Annual Meeting of Chief Justices of Small Commonwealth Nations.
As part of his programme while in Bermuda, the Chief Justice was also scheduled to attend a regional conference organised by the Commonwealth Magistrates’ and Judges’ Association on the general theme of “Equality and the Courts: Exploring the Commonwealth Experience”.
The Maltese Chief Justice was additionally invited to address the twelfth session of this conference on the subject of “Human Rights and Economic Development”.
Justice Joseph David Camilleri was assigned to the role Acting Maltese Chief Justice during the overseas visit.
