Next month Malta is to play host to an international finance conference focusing on emerging capital markets in the Mediterranean. The meeting will be hosted by Valletta Capital Management and its strategic partner Insight Investment, according to a Times of Malta report.
The conference, taking place on October 8, will be attended by around 150 representatives from the Mediterranean and Gulf regions and speakers will include members of the Maltese government Finance Minister John Dalli, and Tony Abela, Parliamentary Secretary, who will discuss Malta's position within the regional market place.
Other speakers will include Richard Robinson, director of strategic relationships at Insight Investment who will give a talk entitled "Investment Perspectives both Near and Far", Alex Illingworth, Insight's director of global equity funds and Shireen Alkady, chairman of Egyptian-based Prime Asset Management.
The conference is also receiving support from the Bank of Valletta, the Maltese FSA, the Malta Stock Exchange and PricewaterhouseCoopers amongst others.
