Malta Gains Access To European Tax Advisor Database

by Robert Lee, Tax-News.com, London

22 January 2004

Maltese tax specialists are now on the European Register of Tax Advisors, which matches potential clients and tax specialists from around the globe via a web-based search facility.

The register has been created by the Confederation Fiscale Europeenne, and attempts to meet the demands of both professionals and individual taxpayers who are in need of advice from a tax professional, either at home, or located in an overseas jurisdiction. By utilising a powerful internet-based search engine, potential clients can search for a tax advisor by name, region, language or field of expertise.

Entry onto the Register is restricted to those who are members of affiliated Confederation Fiscale Europeenne organisations. In the case of Malta, entry is through the Maltese Institute of Taxation, which provides users with a registration code, enabling them to use the search facility.
