IBC Global Conferences has announced details of the forthcoming 6th Annual International Tax Planning Forum. Due to take place in the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London, on 18th and 19th October, the event is set to be one of the most influential and prestigious tax events of the year. The event aims to tackle some of the most crucial complexities of international taxation as well as offering substantial networking opportunities and practical advice on new money-saving techniques and strategies.
The two-day forum is a regular annual attraction for many of Europe's leading taxation professionals including taxation advisors, taxation managers and directors from high profile multinational companies. IBC says more than 50% of participants will be from Eastern and Western Europe. Diverse perspectives on important tax planning strategies and major developments in Europe's key tax regimes, including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain and Sweden, will be discussed. Double tax treaties and tax relief, transfer pricing strategies and recent ECJ tax law cases will also be covered.
Chairing the Forum on day one will be Eric Tomsett from Deloitte & Touche (London). In a statement released by IBC, Mr Tomsett explains: 'Important developments in international taxation in countries such as Germany and the UK, continuing issues on the taxation of new technologies and e-commerce and a major new double taxation treaty between the United States and the United Kingdom mean that it has never been more important for financial executives and tax advisors to be completely up to date on the latest issues. The Forum seeks to meet this vital need.'
Paul Morton from the Royal Dutch Shell Group (London) will be chairing the Forum on day two and speakers for both days include: Thies Sanders, Loyens & Loeff (Amsterdam), Wolfgang Lenz, Wessing Rechtsanwalte (Munich), Ralph Korf, PricewaterhouseCoopers (Munich), David Rutges, KPMG Meijburg (Amsterdam) and Peter Cussons, PricewaterhouseCoopers (London).
