Liechtenstein Swears In New Government

Liechtenstein has just sworn in a new government, following the elections in February when the governing Fatherland Union party, which stood up to ruling Prince Hans Adam II over his proposed constitutional changes, lost to a former coalition partner in the principality's national elections. yesterday.

On April 5, parliament elected the new Executive, made up of five members of the Progressive People's Party (FBP). Mario Frick is replaced as Liechtenstein Head of Government by 43-year-old Otmar Hasler, whilst the New Vice Head of Government is Rita Kieber-Beck.

The retiring government, which included Heinz Frommelt, Andrea Willi, Michael Ritter and Norbert Marxer, bade farewell at a reception in Vaduz last week.
