Liechtenstein’s Prime Minister Klaus Tschütscher has recently met with Germany’s Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble during an official working visit to Berlin, with the talks focussing on the planned completion of a bilateral double taxation agreement (DTA) between the two countries.
Prior to the meeting, Klaus Tschütscher explained that important issues would be raised during the course of the talks, including the forthcoming entry into force of the tax information exchange agreement between the two countries as well as ongoing negotiations regarding the proposed bilateral DTA.
Liechtenstein’s Prime Minister also announced that there would be an exchange of views on current domestic and foreign financial issues, including consolidation of the state budget and measures designed to overcome and prevent financial crises.
According to Liechtenstein’s administration, the visit was also designed to maintain excellent relationships and to extend cooperation between Germany and Liechtenstein.
