It emerged at the weekend that PwC-associated law firm, Landwell has been rebranded as PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal LLP.
The move aimed to clarify the relationship between the firms for PwC clients, and anticipates the move towards multi-disciplinary partnerships signalled in the Clementi review of the legal services sector.
Speaking to the Legal Week news service with regarding to the change, PwC senior partner Leon Flavell announced that:
“The rebranded PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal has been functioning as Landwell in the UK for the past six years in its capacity as an independent firm of solicitors within the PricewaterhouseCoopers network."
"However, under the Landwell brand this association and legal capability was not always clear to the external market. By changing the name to PricewaterhouseCoopers we hope to clarify this association.”
