Azerbaijan and Kuwait signed several intergovernmental agreements during meetings on February 10; notably the two countries signed a convention for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to income taxes.
The agreements were signed by President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev and Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.
Alongside the agreement for the avoidance of double taxation both countries initialled a reciprocal investment promotion and protection agreement and a trade agreement.
Both parties stressed the importance of making reciprocal investments and setting up joint enterprises, expressing confidence that bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait would deepen further.
