The Korean National Tax Service has announced its planned participation in the tax authority meeting of OECD nations to be held in Seville, Spain, this week.
Announcing the decision last week, the NTS revealed that its Deputy Commissioner, Lee Ju-sung will be attending the conference in order to explain the recent changes in the country’s tax system, including improvements in information sharing between the taxpayer and the tax authorities.
He is also set to discuss matters of tax transparency, audit policies and issues affecting foreign firms operating within South Korea, and is expected to call for enhanced cooperation between national tax administrations.
