As Congress, prosecutors and regulators intensify their anti-money laundering efforts and increase their scrutiny of correspondent bank and other intermediary accounts, senior banking executives find themselves under enormous pressure to protect their institutions.
Pending anti-money laundering legislation and ``Know Your Customer'' obligations will be addressed at the ``Money Laundering Implications for Correspondent Bank and Other Intermediary Accounts'' seminar, hosted by the forensic and litigation services practice of KPMG LLP, the professional services firm. KPMG's Ellen Zimiles, former assistant U.S. attorney and unit chief in the Southern District of New York's U.S. Attorney's Office, will moderate a panel composed of leaders at the U.S. Department of Justice and the Treasury, as well as top-ranking officers at major global financial institutions.
The seminar will be held on Tuesday, April 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in the Starlight Room on the 18th Floor at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, 301 Park Avenue, between 49th and 50th Streets.
