The Director of International Finance for Jersey, Martin de Forest-Brown, is to relocate to London on September 1, 2010, to represent Jersey’s government and continue to build the jurisdiction’s profile as a world-class financial centre. He will return as appropriate to undertake Jersey based financial matters, the government has said.

De Forest-Brown will continue to support the Island's activity in Brussels until the appointment of the joint Channel Island office director is completed later this year, and will maintain support for Jersey Finance's international promotional activity, the government has said.

Commenting on his appointment in London, De Forest-Brown, said: "We are in a period when Jersey needs to ensure its commitment to meet international standards is fully understood amongst stakeholders in London and Brussels. My move and our plans for Brussels are part of Jersey government's commitment to build international relations in these critical markets."
