It has emerged that Jersey's Economic Development Department will be joining forces with Blue Water Supplies to demonstrate the new 'Anchor Watch' feature at the London Boat show taking place January 11-20.
Anchor Watch comprises the hull of a ship, from which anchors can be launched into a runway of sand below, in order for the experienced instructors to demonstrate their master-classes in laying anchors, and resolving common problems faced by both beginners and experienced sailors.
The demonstrations will take place five or six times a day throughout the show with public announcements made each time.
The instructors will be demonstrating with SPADE anchors – a design for which Jersey company Blue Water Supplies is the sole distributor in the UK.
Wayne Gallichan, Director, International Trade, Enterprise and Business Development announced that:
“This is an excellent opportunity at a major International show for a locally owned business, supported by Economic Development, to increase its export potential."
"We were delighted that Jersey’s Economic Development department were able to support us with joint sponsorship of this major boat show feature," added Blue Water Supplies' managing director Julian Buesnel, continuing:
"It is extremely important for us to maintain a high profile in the UK and thanks to Economic Development's help we will promote our key products to a far wider customer base than ever before."
