The Isle of Man Treasury on Tuesday revealed that May had been a very successful month for the jurisdiction's finance centre, which secured two major awards.
On May 6, the Treasury revealed, the Isle of Man was dubbed the "Best Offshore Financial Centre" at the International Money Marketing (IMM) Awards. The IMM Awards were delivered in accordance with votes entered by hundreds of IFAs in the 2004 Quantitative IFA Offshore Business Survey.
The second award, for "Best International Financial Centre" was presented to Treasury Minister, Allan Bell at the International Investment Awards, and saw the Isle of Man resisting strong competition from Guernsey and Gibraltar to retain the title for the fourth consecutive year.
Speaking with regard to May's successes, Treasury Minister, Allan Bell observed that:
"This dual acknowledgement of the Isle of Man as the best financial centre recognises not only our strong performance and continued record for innovation, but also our standards of service both to advisers and their clients."
