Speaking to the Isle of Man Online news service, government director of e-commerce, Tim Craine pronounced his recent visit to Ireland in order to raise the profile of the Manx e-commerce industry a success.
During his recent visit to Dublin, Mr Craine met with the senior partners specialising in e-business at four leading accountancy firms - Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In July, the Manx e-commerce director held meetings with leading Irish financiers, venture capitalists, software companies, and business advisers in order to promote the Island as a centre for e-commerce.
'Once again the meetings with the Republic's financial services community have proved to be hugely successful,' Mr Craine told the news service this week. 'Not only do they allow us to talk to the gatekeepers about the merits of the Isle of Man's e-commerce centre but just as importantly we learn what it is that companies and their advisers value.'
