The Isle of Man Treasury on Thursday published a consultation document on a Gambling Duties Bill.
The purpose of the Bill would be to update and simplify the law concerned with the administration of gambling duties, providing assurance as to the compliance of licensed operators, combating unlicensed and unlawful gambling, and associated matters.
The Bill would repeal and replace the Betting Act 1970 and the Pool Betting (Isle of Man) Acts 1961-70.
Copies of the consultation document can be obtained from the Customs and Excise Division.
Responses should be submitted by 20th June, 2008.
