The Isle of Man's Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) has issued a warning this week after becoming aware of a website which purports to represent the entity, Moneda Management LLC.
On this website, www.monedamanagement.com/moneda.htm, it is claimed that Moneda Management LLC has an address of “Woodbourne Rd, Douglas, Isle of Man” (sic). The Commission confirmed that although there is a Road by this name there is no such entity by the name of Moneda Management LLC.
The FSC also reported that the entity falsely claims to be “…a financial institution registered in The Isle of Man and eligible to offer banking investment services.” (sic).
"Moneda Management LLC is not a company incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man," the Commission stated.
"It is not registered as a foreign company having established a place of business on the Isle of Man, and it is not registered as a business name on the Isle of Man," it added.
The FSC advised that the entity is not licensed by the Commission to undertake any regulated activities in, on or from the Isle of Man.
The Commission further stated that it has been unable to establish a connection between Moneda Management LLC and the Isle of Man.
