Internet Awareness Initiative Going Ahead In St Vincent And The Grenadines

Plans are at an advanced stage for the second national Internet Fiesta aimed at sensitizing people about the many benefits of using the internet in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, it has been revealed this week.

The activity is being organized by the Information Communication Technology (ICT) section of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Science and Technology.

According to a statement, this year’s Internet Fiesta will be held from the 18th-23rd May.

Under the theme” Internet for all”, internet service providers, computer resellers and other ICT stakeholders including web developers, and banks that offer internet banking services, will focus on the many uses and benefits of the internet.

The main goal is to get people to familiarize themselves with the tremendous benefits of using the internet, the statement explained.

The last time the Ministry coordinated an Internet Fiesta was in 2004.
