Purchasers of Apple Computer's new iPod Nano digital music player in Mexico and the United Kingdom have joined their US counterparts in seeking recompense through the courts for defective screens included in some of the devices.
Following a class action suit filed in the United States last month which alleged that the firm was in such a hurry to get the iPod Nano onto the market that it ignored flaws with the device's screen design, a second suit has been filed in the US District Court for Northern California on behalf of Mexican and British users of the product.
Addressing the matter of the defective screens earlier this year, an Apple representative reportedly stated that the cracking and scratching problems which are the focus of the legal actions have affected less than a tenth of a percent of the devices shipped.
