Insinger de Beaufort, the international private banking and trust group, announced recently that its Channel Islands subsidiary, Insinger Asset Management (Guernsey) Ltd, has obtained a licence from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission to conduct promotion and distribution activities from within the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
Insinger de Beaufort now has in place a local office with a five-strong team concentrating on international distribution of the group's products across a range of jurisdictions including Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, South Africa, Latin America, Asia and continental Europe.
A press release from Insinger de Beaufort said: 'The unit has combined offshore financial services experience of over 50 years and has been central to building one of the most successful distribution operations in offshore fund management and life assurance business. The team will concentrate on providing support to Insinger de Beauforts Multi-Manager products and services.'
The Guernsey team, which works closely with the Insinger de Beaufort business development manager in Jersey, is headed by Clive Rooney, who has welcomed the development, saying: 'Insinger de Beaufort has a history of effective wealth management stretching back to 1779. Our intention is to focus activity around Insinger de Beauforts unique manager selection processes, which have been developed and finely honed over the last five years.'
He continued: 'We believe Insinger de Beaufort offers investors and their advisors the very best in multi-manager investment; our aim is to ensure that the widest possible global audience is made aware of the benefits of using our services.'
