Eurofunds News is a new monthly newsletter published by the Informa group, the owner of titles such as Lloyds List, Banking Technology and approximately 1000 other publications worldwide. Informa is also a successful conference group, holding some 3,500 events annually, and it is through its conferences within the financial services area that the need for such a publication was perceived.
Eurofunds News will cover important developments in the European funds industry, with a particular focus on the alternatives area, where many new regulations and product innovations are coming to the market. The issues involved in promoting and distributing funds across Europe will be investigated and every month there will be a special focus on a country or region within Europe.
The first issue includes a review of European hedge fund performance and a discussion of the regulatory trends across Europe for accessing the retail investor. The product distribution and innovation section includes an interview with Sandra Manzke of Tremont on its European strategic alliances. Regular hedge fund features will comprise a compilation of hedge fund indices, fund ratings and new fund launches.
