29 January 2009

The Indian government announced on January 29 that the agreement for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to income taxes with Albania will be signed soon.

The agreement will enter into force when both parties have completed their ratification procedures.

The agreement aims to promote mutual economic cooperation between the two countries by stimulating the flow of capital, technology and personnel.

When the agreement comes into force it will eliminate double taxation on businesses and investors conducting business in the partner country.
