Michael Gates, head of the Isle of Man's International Services division, received the FT's award to the IOM as Best International Territory from former Tory Transport Minister Steve Norris.
The ceremony took place during a gala dinner at the FT Business International Financial Adviser Awards for Excellence (formerly the Offex Awards).
This is the ninth consecutive award the Island has received from international financial publications. Said Michael Gates: 'Nine awards in three years tells its own story during that time the Isle of Man has won every major award that recognises excellence in international finance. Without question, we are at the head of the pack when it comes to providing a safe, well regulated environment in which business can flourish.'
