Speaking at the opening ceremony of Hong Kong's greatest ever business exhibition in the UK, the Director-General of HKETO London (Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office), Mr Andrew Leung, appealed to British businesses seeking a foothold in China's huge emerging market to team up with Hong Kong businesses.
"The opportunities are massive but so are the risks of failure if you don't know how to go about it," stated Mr Leung. "British businesses stand to gain better by joining hands with Hong Kong as we know the ways of Asia."
He added: "This exhibition, titled 'Opportunity Hong Kong: Asia's world city', is designed to provide help where it is needed for British businesses."
The exhibition, which commenced on Monday and closes today, is supported by a number of Hong Kong government and private sector bodies, including Invest Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Organising Committee of the Hong Kong Cultural Industries Expo, HSBC and Cathay Pacific.
