Hong Kong's small and medium enterprises on Thursday showcased their achievements in IP protection at the Intellectual Property Department's fourth open day.
Legislative Council Commerce & Industry Panel Chairman Vincent Fang said at yesterday's opening ceremony that intellectual property management concepts are now taking root in Hong Kong's business community.
"The SME exhibitors here have shared with us their success stories through the acquisition, exploitation and protection of intellectual property rights - evidence that intellectual property is a key to enterprise wealth creation. I am sure their success stories will be an inspiration to other forward-looking SMEs as well as the business community at large," he observed.
About 200 guests took part in yesterday's event. The open day continues today for invited guests including members of business and trade organisations.
