Hedge fund information and performance data provider Hedgefund.net this week announced the launch of a downloadable data service from which comprehensive information on over 2,000 funds can be imported into Excel or Access PC programmes.
It will allow both the individual and institutional investor to analyse data in the manner of their choosing, and the range of statistics available from DataExport will include: performance histories, fund descriptions, primary and secondary strategies, qualitative information and contact information. The data can be sorted into thirty three different hedge fund strategies including funds of funds, long/short hedge, convertible arbitrage, fixed income and event driven.

"Now with DataExport, investors can take our rich information outside the functionality of HedgeFund.net and use it in their own systems of analysis. Hedgefund.net DataExport is available for an annual subsription fee of $3,500 and includes an unlimited number of dowloads.
