Hedge Funds Returned 1.14% In November, Says Hennessee

Hedge funds returned 1.14% in November, according to the Hennessee Hedge Fund Index.

In a statement released last week, the Hennessee Group revealed that hedge funds outperformed the S&P 500 index (which returned 0.83% last month) and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (which fell 0.19%), but were outstripped by the Nasdaq Composite Index, which climbed 1.45%.

The Hennessee Latin America Index was the top performer in November for the third consecutive month, showing returns of 5.51%. It was followed by the Hennessee Telecom and Media Index and the Hennessee Value Index, which posted returns of 2.42% and 2.01% respectively.

The Hennessee Pacific Rim Index was the worst performing strategy, posting a loss of 2.37% (+21.68% YTD), followed by he Hennessee Short Biased Index, which declined 0.65%.
