HSBC Bank International Ltd and BBC World have launched an Internet 'microsite' designed for individuals and expatriates who are living and working overseas.
BBC World will place a link “button” on its website, bbcworld.com, entitled Information About Living and Working Abroad. This will link through to a separate page containing information, which will be supplied by HSBC Bank International Ltd.
Many people maintain two residences, purchase property overseas or dream of retiring to a home in the sun. The new portal will provide information about how these dreams can be achieved, featuring in-depth information and knowledge about living and working abroad.
Scott Fleming, Head of Marketing for HSBC Bank International, said, “This micro-site is a totally unique development for both the BBC and HSBC Bank International Ltd. By using our detailed knowledge and expertise in this market, we can provide expatriates and people who live and work aboard with detailed knowledge and information about the issues relevant to them.
“Financial information is just one part of how we can help this important group of people. Research that we have commissioned shows how important it is for individuals, expatriates and indeed, for those who will be living or working in two different countries to have a trustworthy source of information that deals with issues relevant to them.”
Jonathan Howlett, Director of Airtime Sales at BBC World, added, “BBC
World is consistently ranked as the most trusted, reliable and respected international
news channel in independent research, with nearly 60 million people tuning in
to BBC World each week. This partnership with HSBC Bank International offers
an additional source of trusted information on a subject of great relevance
to a section of our audience.”
This portal is expected to be the first of a number of microsites that will
be developed by HSBC Bank International Ltd.
