Guernsey Firms Scoop Offshore Business Awards

A number of Guernsey-based law and wealth management firms were among the winners at the recent Citywealth Offshore Awards in London.

Bedell Cristin, Collins Stewart Wealth Management, RBC Wealth Management, HSBC Private Bank and Nathan Long, from Clydesdale Bank International, all received awards.

The awards highlight the excellence of advisers and managers in the major offshore jurisdictions with the winners demonstrating achievement, expertise and service.

Welcoming the award on behalf of Bedell Cristin, Guernsey managing partner, Mark Helyar said:

“The award is a reflection of our high standards and reputation among our peers and for delivering quality client services. Our team culture and hands-on leadership help us to maintain strong relationships with our clients and the latest award is an indication that we continue on the right track.”

Collins Stewart Wealth Management was named UK offshore investment management company of the year.

Charlie Roger, head of wealth management at Collins Stewart, Guernsey, said: “We are very proud to receive this accolade not least because it was, in part, voted for by our clients. This is a great way to start the year and comes soon after being named asset manager of the year and best advisory stockbroker by Spear’s and Shares Magazine respectively.”

RBC received the UK offshore trust company of the year award and HSBC Private Bank was voted as UK offshore private bank of the year. Mr Long, Business Development Partner at Clydesdale, claimed a new award as Citywealth new leader of the year.
