Guernsey-based private equity fund services firm Ipes has been named the European Specialist Administrator of the Year at the Funds Europe 2011 Awards in London.
The industry publication Funds Europe recognised Ipes at their seventh annual awards ceremony held at The Tower of London. Ipes beat off competition from Citi, State Street and SEI to receive the accolade.
The judging panel consisted of industry professionals with a wealth of experience in their respective fields. The entries were assessed on performance growth, innovation, development, client service and commitment to Europe and the industry.
Nick Fitzpatrick, editor of Funds Europe and convenor of the panel of industry judges, commented: “The judges noted that Ipes is a true specialist in the private equity area with a great reputation, the company was also able to demonstrate strong growth throughout 2010 and 2011.”
Welcoming the award, Ipes Jersey’s Managing Director, Nigel Strachan, said: “Ipes is delighted to have won this award and it is testament to our specialist focus, service driven approach and client care that we have been recognized in this way. The event was well attended by a number of leading European firms and it was therefore excellent to win the award in such esteemed company.”
Ipes was established in 1998 and today employs a team of over 130 professionals across offices in London, Luxembourg, Jersey and Guernsey. The firm is ranked fifth globally based on Private Equity assets under administration by ICFA magazine and second in Guernsey by Lipper Fitzrovia in the 2011/2012 Fund Encyclopaedia.
